Chaparral Canned Food Drive of 2008

By Student Council President, 11/23/08 This canned food drive was another spectacular food drive for Chaparral
(as it always is!). The canned food drive started on Nov. 5 and ended on Nov.
20. All classes from K through the 6th grade were participating in bringing
in cans to give to the needy that are at the Foothill Family Shelter. We all
brought in a total can count of 3,278. Way to go, Chaparral! I am most
thankful to all of the people who brought in cans to help these needy people.
I know they will be happy! I would also like to thank the other 19 student
council staff members who helped take all of the cans out of each and every
classroom (25 classrooms in total). I couldn’t have done it without you. I am
very proud to be a part of this school, as every student at Chaparral should
be! |
